KCL is one of the most prestigious universities in United Kingdom located in the center of one of the most vibrant city, London. People say that the sole purpose of university is mere academic, but I think it far exceeds that. Knowledge we learn from textbook is important but may diminish overtime. What remains within us that will nourish each individual are the experiences, interactions and people we meet. King’s Chinese Society can provide that opportunity for you.
King’s Chinese Society is a platform where it gathers students who are interested in Chinese culture, primarily Hong Kong culture, through recreational, academic and social gatherings. It is also a gateway that expose members to career opportunities. Simply, it is a society that is fun, exciting and fulfilling.
Each year we will host a variety of events including cocktail reception, orientation camp, social parties, social gatherings, even ice skating trips or theatre visits etc. Aside from leisure, career prospects are also emphasized in our society. Many top tier firms such as Baker & McKenzie, Allen & Overy, Citi, UBS, Swire etc. have established a close relationship with us.
The highlight of the year is the annual variety show. It is well-established theatric performance known for its spectacular musicals, drama, band shows, and dance performances featuring star actors and actresses from our university. It is also a rare and unique opportunity where students from King’s and other universities, institutes and secondary schools assemble to appreciate our fantastic performances. It is simply an unforgettable experience.
